MISS WORLD NZ TOP MODEL 2009

Instead of having a rehearsal on February 21, the Miss World NZ contestants met up at LINDA 8 Shop at Westfield Manukau, Auckland, to try on some lovely cocktail dresses and evening gowns for the Miss World NZ Top Model Competition which will be held on April 4 at Sky City convention Centre.

The Miss World NZ Top Model competition is one of the pre pageant activities leading up to the final night which will be held on 25th April. Winner of this competition will be fast tracked to the finalist round.

Venue: Ellerslie Bowling Club, Kalmia St. Ellerslie, Auckland
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM. Punctuality is an important requirement.

II BEACH BEAUTY COMPETITION (FAST TRACK) & INTERVIEW
Date: Sunday, March 8, 2009
Time: 1:00 PM onward
Venue: 115 Halsey Drive, Lynfield, Auckland.
Requirement: 2 sets of swimsuit (2 piece) and Smart dress for interview

III Miss WORLD NZ 2009 TOP MODEL & TALENT COMPETITION (FAST TRACK)
Date: April 4, 2009
Time: 7:00 PM onward
Venue: Sky City Convention Centre, Auckland City

A. Top Model Competition (Casual , Cocktail dress, Evening gown)
B. Talent Competition - Not exceeding 2 minutes performance

IV FINAL COMPETITION & CORONATION NIGHT
Date: April 25, 2009 (ANZAC DAY)

Miss World NZ 2008 in south Africa

Miss world 2007, Zilin Zhang together with Miss New Zealand, Miss Brazil, Miss USA, Miss south Africa, Miss Egypt, Miss Italy, & Miss Spain are chosen to lend a helping hand during the draw to determine the two groups for the eight-team competition of FIFA CONFEDERATION CUP 2009. Over 600 million people in 180 countries will watch the draw.

As part of Kahurangi's charity work she will be leaving for Hongkong at the end of this month (October) as a guest of the Hollywood Halloween Charity Dinner event for Variety, the Children's Charity. It will be held on the evening of 31st October at the Kowloon Shangrila. Kahurangi & Miss Australia World, Katie Richardson, are going to talk about their country. They will also attend the Macquarie Lunch Event (before the Bledisloe Cup) where they will be asked to talk about Rugby and assist in the presentation of awards.
Kahurangi will leave on Nov. 15 for Johannesburg, South Africa to represent New Zealand in Miss World 2009 Final competition. The 114 contestants will visit many of South Africa's most beautiful landmarks as part of the Miss World Tour.
